(0) Unit 0: Orientation to the Class

Back to Anatomy and Physiology Course Materials Index

What does a picture of an axe have to do with an Anatomy and Physiology Course? Think about these questions--what is the function of an axe? How does the physical design of the axe reflect that function. Anatomy and Physiology isn't just about memorizing lots of names of anatomic structures, it's all about how the function of a particular component or system relates to its structure. In this course not only will we learn the locations and names of particular structures, we will learn to think about how these structures work as the human body attempts to successfully interact with its surrounding environment.
